Let’s Do Some Good by Removing Invasive Species

volunteer 9

Thank you to all of you who came to our September How to Do Some Good community volunteer event! It was a nice morning to be outdoors, and helping to protect our urban refuge and keeping it healthy. We had some little volunteers with us too! Thanks everyone!

Join us at Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary to help pull and remove invasive species from this natural Sanctuary area. Removing invasive species is an important part of keeping this urban refuge healthy.

Swan Lake Christmas Hill is managed by a non-profit society, and provides an exceptional opportunity to bring people and nature together. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to come volunteer with us.

Thanks to the support of Rotary Club of Downtown Victoria, there are no meetup fees. Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothing, water and gloves if you have them. There will be extra gloves to use if you need them.

We will be meeting behind the Saanich Municipal Hall, at the intersection of Lochside Regional Trail and Darwin Ave. Park at the Visitors Parking behind the Municipal Hall.
